Which providers are requested
Each supported currency corridor has a configured list of provider integrations. When a user submits a valid source currency, destination currency, and positive amount, RemitLow requests a quote from each configured integration for that corridor.
RemitLow does not compare every money transfer provider. A configured provider may also be unable to return a quote because credentials are unavailable, a request times out, the provider returns an error, or the response does not contain the required normalized fields.
What data is compared
Provider adapters normalize successful responses into five fields: provider identifier, quoted exchange rate, displayed provider fee, recipient amount, and estimated delivery time. The interface presents those normalized fields when a valid quote is available.
The estimates are not made directly comparable across every possible funding and payout method. An adapter requests the supported configuration encoded for that integration, and provider eligibility can still depend on the user and transaction.
Recipient amount
When the provider response supplies a destination or target amount, the adapter displays that returned amount. For integrations that return a rate and fee rather than a recipient amount, the adapter calculates the normalized recipient amount as the send amount minus the displayed provider fee, multiplied by the quoted exchange rate.
This normalization uses the fields available from the provider integration. It does not guarantee that every possible card charge, bank charge, intermediary fee, recipient-side deduction, tax, promotion, or later pricing change is included.
How results are ordered
Only valid, successfully returned quotes are displayed. They are ordered by recipient amount from highest to lowest, so the largest normalized recipient amount appears first. Affiliate compensation and provider-link commercial terms are not inputs to that sorting function.
The order is a comparison for the submitted corridor and amount, not a universal provider ranking or endorsement. A sender may reasonably choose a different quote based on delivery method, timing, eligibility, service needs, or final provider terms.
Unavailable and failed quotes
Provider requests run independently. If one integration fails, times out, lacks required configuration, or returns an invalid response, that result is excluded while other valid quotes can still be displayed. If no valid quote remains, the comparison shows an unavailable state instead of a fabricated or placeholder quote.
An absent provider result does not establish that the provider cannot support the transfer. It means RemitLow did not receive a usable quote from that integration for that request.
Freshness and final terms
Quotes are requested when a comparison is made. RemitLow does not guarantee a fixed refresh interval, and rates, fees, delivery estimates, availability, and eligibility may change at any time. A timestamp in the interface indicates when the current comparison received usable results; it is not a promise that a provider will hold that price.
Transfers are completed on the selected provider’s website. The provider confirms the final rate, fee, recipient amount, funding and payout options, identity requirements, limits, eligibility, and delivery terms before the user completes a transaction.
Coverage limitations
RemitLow is limited to the currency corridors and provider integrations configured in the application. Provider participation differs by corridor, and technical availability does not establish eligibility for a particular sender or recipient. The comparison does not cover cash, bank, or digital-wallet options that are not exposed by a current integration.
